The hubs and I love college sports. It was not always this way. When we first met, we were watching basketball and I asked him, “When is March Madness?” Dope! I promise I am more knowledgeable about it now!
Fast forward to today, my husband and I are BIG University of North Carolina Tarheel basketball fans. In 2012, we went to North Carolina for a game. We were even able to get tickets to watch the Duke University Blue Devils. FYI, they are major rivals. We were fifth row from the floor in the iconic Cameron Indoor Stadium. It was definitely a bucket list item for us. While we cheer for UNC, we are even BIGGER fans of the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits. Conference tournament play (to get an automatic bid to the Big Dance) begins this weekend, and we make the trek every year to watch them play in the Summit League.
Despite this month being dubbed March Madness, I hope whatever wait or infertility madness you are encountering (oh wait, that is the definition of infertility), you are able to take a step back, and refocus. It is so easy to get caught up in the madness of waiting and all the emotions that come with it. Countless doctor visits, scheduling your every move in relation to medication and your cycle… you get my drift. I know you have been there. I have too.
Instead, this time, try your best to Live in the Wait by choosing to enjoy all that is going on around you; with your family, friends, community, church, etc. The most important part is the attitude we choose and what we decide to do with our wait. The more you choose living over the madness, the easier it can become. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to enjoy some hoops!
How about you? Do you have a favorite sports team?
