I Rise
I am continually being dragged down with all the things I see/don’t see and all the emotions that come with our wait. It is overwhelming and I desperately want to get above it all and be free. It is a constant struggle between being tied to the ground (control) and wanting to float above it all (surrender).
But when I listen to this song, I feel a huge burden is lifted. It reminds me that I am made for more than my wait. I have purpose and value despite my current circumstances. Our loving, powerful, faithful and graceful God has BIG things in store, and I don’t have to wait until my wait is over to rise. I can do it now!
We Rise
Knowing the freedom found in rising above your wait, what better gift to give to someone else! One of the best ways to do that is by sharing your story. It’s a double blessing as it helps others, but also you. Doing this relieves the burden of carrying it alone and creates this beautiful cycle of continuous rising. By sharing your story, others rise and that is powerful!
Whatever is holding you down today, whatever your wait, I encourage you to rise. Rise above the doubt, the circumstances, the impossible, and all those overwhelming thoughts and feelings. See it from God’s perspective and be renewed in your wait, because He wants you to rise.

We continue to have to same taste in music! I LOVE Danny Gokey! I saw him in concert last year as I was experiencing my second miscarriage. That night he performed “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again,” which hit my heart, as you said. I love your suggestion of listening to the song in a quiet place. Music is one of the ways God can speak to us, and we hear Him more often when we listen intentionally!
