August E+DAY

It’s Back to School season where I live, and the shelves are full of school supplies and the racks are full of brand new clothes. For many families in our community, and maybe yours too, they’re unable to buy the necessary supplies for their kiddos to go to school.

Many organizations sponsored Back to School donation drives and Ryan and I wanted to be a part of it. We had fun looking at all the school supplies and enjoyed picking out the most fun colors and patterns. As we shopped, we talked and shared how we couldn’t imagine the stress those kiddos feel wondering if they will have the right tools to go to school. The idea of going back to school should be fun and exciting, not stressful and full of worry, wondering if you have what you need to learn. It was a humble reminder of how much we truly have and are provided for.

Another way we celebrated E+DAY was last month during Living in the Wait’s 6 Month Bloggerversary. I recently announced the impact you all created by supporting the 6 for 6 for Sharing Challenge benefiting Feeding South Dakota. We had a big goal of 100 partners, and thanks to you, we had almost half!

What made this donation even more special is that all dollars received by July 31 were matched allowing the donation to total $600!! Ryan and I are humbled by your support and can’t thank you enough for helping feed the mouths of hungry kiddos.

I absolutely love encouraging others, whether it’s through donating, volunteer, sending snail mail or a text and a thankful we have the opportunity to help so many kids and families in need.

Not sure what E+DAY is? Check out this page for more info… I know you are curious!
