E+DAY July 2020 – Encouragement is Honoring Others

We have the power to honor friends, family, even strangers by encouraging them with our words and actions.

Encouragement from Strangers

Soon after starting Living in the Wait, I received a direct message from someone I had never met or talked to. After opening their message, I found out this complete stranger made a donation to an organization in my honor. Talk about a humbling experience.

Here’s a stranger, choosing to use their own hard-earned money to make a donation in honor of someone they’ve never met. Sounds crazy, right?

This is just one example that drives home the importance encouragement plays in our lives. Even more, it goes to show there are countless ways to live out E+DAY, whether you know the person or not. You could share kind and encouraging words over their situation, make a donation to their church, an organization they proudly support or a shared cause you both believe in, etc.

I’ll always remember this strangers kindness and courage. To this day, it’s humbling to have been on the receiving end of such selflessness and I hope to continue paying it forward to others.

Is there someone you’ve connected with, but maybe haven’t met, that you could donate to an organization on their behalf?

Have you ever made a donation in honor of someone? How about someone you’ve never met?
