About

Hey!

I’m Melissa, first-time mom, infertility advocate, fan of Jesus, grace, and encouraging others.

I’m so thankful you’re here!

Hey! I’m Melissa, Founder of Living in the Wait. I created this online resource to encourage and guide those who find themselves in a period of uncertainty wondering when their wait will end. Know this, even in your waiting, you can live life to the fullest.

I created this site from my own experience of waiting, which was 3 1/2 years of navigating infertility.

I’m a first-time mom, writer, speaker, infertility advocate and seasoned event planner who enjoys all things related to logistics and details.

I love to strike up a conversation with everyone I meet. Hearing your stories and connecting on a personal level is what energizes me!

I’ve been featured on several popular podcasts, respected infertility websites and was the cover story for the largest readership magazine in my tri-state region.

I’m a huge fan of generosity, grace, planners, asking questions and encouraging others. In my spare time, you’ll find me in the great outdoors or watching college sports with my guy, Ry, and one-year-old daughter, Crosbee, the coolest person I know.

If you are new to Living in the Wait, I’m sorry life’s circumstances have brought you here. I know all to well the disappointment, overwhelm and isolation you are feeling. That’s why I started Living in the Wait. You can read a more detailed version of our journey here.

I’m not here to fix what you’re going through. Instead, I want to lead you to the one who can do immeasurably more with your current circumstances. It’s through my season of waiting, my need and understanding of God began to grow. I’m not thankful for the trials I’ve endured, but I’m eternally grateful for the trust and dependency I gained with God because of them.
